Job Details

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Provide strong leadership to the Sanitation team to achieve full plant compliance with all personnel safety, food safety, and quality.

2.Meet or exceed guidelines as they pertain to the facility equipment and industry standards for sanitation and SQF.

3.Ensure compliance to all local, state, and federal food manufacturing sanitation requirements.

4.Responsible for supervising all sanitation and janitorial staff.

5.Maintain good working relationships with all employees.

6.Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, FSMA and SQF requirements.

7.Maintain facility Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program.

8.Oversee facility fumigation activities.

9.Liaise with contracted pest control and chemical companies.

10.Provide solutions and promote teamwork amongst the various groups such as production, maintenance, and quality.

11.Ensure safety compliance with all chemical dilution, titration, and use.

12.Monitor, review, and suggest/direct initiatives for continuous improvement in all areas of operations.

13.Champion a culture of food sanitation. Train employees on proper sanitation and chemical use, dispersal, and disposal.

14.Review employee performance and assist in employee development.

15.Observe equipment throughout facility and reports concerns to maintenance staff.

16.Give feedback on a routine basis to all employees.

17.Administer supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

18.Develop strong partnership with plant management, quality, maintenance, and engineering.

19.Perform other related duties as assigned.

20.Able to work any shift required, including weekends and holidays as applicable. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

TRANING AND EXPEREINCE:

Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, or equivalent required Qualified Applicator License (QAL) for the state of California preferred.

Must have 3 years of Sanitation supervisory and leadership experience preferred.
