Full-Time Live-In or Live-Out Nanny - Los Angeles

A wonderful and kind family in the Tree People area of Los Angeles is seeking a full-time, live-in or live-out nanny for their 3 children ages, 4,6 and a 6 month-old infant. Mom works from home and has the infant most of the time. The primary focus of the nanny will be on the two older children. The schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12pm to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am to 7:30pm with the flexibility to add an extra day(s) as needed. The family is not paying relocation costs for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities

Full-charge care prioritizing safety and well-being of the children at all times

Engage in and support creativity and imagination

Guiding children through big feelings and help them communicate

Meal planning and prep, including purees for infant

Child-related housekeeping and generally tidying up

Ensure consideration and awareness is always practiced for peanut allergy (mom is gluten free)

Tuesdays and Thursdays allow time for gift wrapping for kid’s parties, planning of projects, and other child-related activities/duties that may arise

Driving children to/from activities and school (nanny car provided)

Travel with the family both domestically and internationally

Planning, prep, and packing for all travel

Minor assistance with household tasks such as making coffee, cleaning up after breakfast, and general tasks that help keep the house organized. The family has a housekeeper.

Qualifications

Flexibility with the schedule

Warm, kind, and a good communicator

Experience in a similar live-in role

Ability to educate in a fun and creative way

Passionate about art

A degree in, or experience with early childhood development

The ability to cook

Ability to speak Spanish would be huge pluses

Requirements

Passport ready

Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

The family has a pool so the candidate will need to be a strong swimmer

Pet friendly

Non-Smoker

CPR and First Aid certified

Trustline certified

Up to date on vaccinations for TDap, MMR, and flu

COVID vaccination required, but not boosters

Legal to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate is $30 per hour

The living accommodations consist of a room with a separate entrance, dedicated temperature control and en-suite private bath
