Job Summary:

The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the security and efficiency of the Center's information technology infrastructure. This position is responsible for the holistic management and oversight of the Center's IT and Cyber Security initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with the Navy's research, development, test, and evaluation objectives, and managing resource allocation. The IT and Cyber Security Manager serves as the primary liaison between the Corporate Operations Department's IT Division and other technical departments within the Corona Division, making this role essential to the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Holistic IT and Cyber Security Management: Develop and execute comprehensive IT and Cyber Security strategies to safeguard the Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division's information systems, data, and assets.

Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams of IT and Cyber Security professionals, fostering collaboration and efficient communication to achieve the Center's objectives.

Alignment with Navy Objectives: Ensure that IT and Cyber Security initiatives align with the Navy's research, development, test, and evaluation objectives, and provide critical support for mission-critical projects.

Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support IT and Cyber Security initiatives effectively.

Liaison Role: Act as the primary liaison between the Corporate Operations Department's IT Division and other technical departments within the Corona Division, facilitating seamless coordination and cooperation.

Security Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant security policies, regulations, and standards to protect the organization from cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.

Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations to identify potential threats and implement proactive measures.

Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans, ensuring the timely and effective resolution of cybersecurity incidents.

Technology Advancement: Stay abreast of emerging IT and Cyber Security trends, technologies, and best practices, and recommend their adoption to enhance the Center's capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

PMP Certification

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and Cyber Security management.

Experience working in a government or defense-related organization is highly desirable.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Proven ability to manage and allocate resources effectively.
