FURNITURE WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE - $15-16/HR, Part-time Temp-to-Perm
The Delivery Source specializes in warehouse receiving and interior designer installation services. Our services include receiving, warehousing, storage, delivery, and installation of furniture and furnishings with a custom tailored white-glove approach. We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this position, you will support the warehouse operations by assisting in receiving shipments, processing orders, and storing/organizing inventory. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience working in a fast-paced, warehouse environment, that is able to multi-task and while staying productive.
Primary Job Description:
Receive packages from incoming freight delivery trucks and stage for processing
Perform identification and marking of new incoming freight
Use measuring tape to take measurement of all items received
Process damaged items as they are found and notify supervisor immediately
Open and inspect all new incoming items for damage then re-pack/re-tape boxes
Assist in pulling and staging pieces in warehouse for upcoming jobs
Perform administrative paperwork that identifies items, or write-ups, of incoming pieces that arrive without paperwork (i.e. via FedEx, UPS)
Stage inspected items for warehousing efforts
Assist in warehousing of processed items
Process waste as necessary using cardboard baler
Processing items for returns
Able to perform assembly of furniture and other items using hand/power tools
General warehouse upkeep and cleanliness (i.e. keep work areas clean, organized, and aisles clear of debri; pick up trash on floors/aisles as you encounter it; sweeping; vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms and breakroom)

Perform phone calls to customers if needed to retrieve more information
Data entry on computer
Reading and responding to e-mails and notifying the appropriate person/department
Perform periodic check of items in damage section and contact the appropriate designer/client to determine if need to dispose of, donate, or save
Perform periodic inventory spot checks
Perform paper filing of processed paperwork after data entry
Special projects as they occur and other duties as assigned

Must be at least 18 years old
1+ years warehouse experience
Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is a plus, but not required
Ability to work with limited supervision
Excellent time management skills
Reliable with good work ethic

High attention to detail to be able to identity flaws and imperfections upon inspection
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to frequently maneuver, lift, carry, push, pull furniture/boxes weighing 100+ lbs.
Ability to frequently walk, stand, squat, stoop, kneel, lift, bend, twist, reach for the majority of your work shift
Capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects (100+ lbs)
Must be able to work in warehouse environment without central AC/heat with variable temperatures, including extreme heat or cold, or very dry or humid conditions
Must be able to work in warehouse environment with common hazards such as forklift/order picker travel and the movement of people and furniture items of all sizes on a frequent-constant basis Starting Pay: $15-16 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications), paid weekly
Job Type: Part-time, Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm; hours will vary weekly depending on the need, averaging 20-36 hours per week

OFF on major holidays including New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve. Weekends not required. Flexible work hours
