Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Mechanic and play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operational machinery. The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive background in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems. English and Spanish fluency required.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 4:20pm - 2:50am

Essential functions and Responsibilities:

Responds to service requests as needed utilizing resources to effectively repair and ensure the safety and availability of Arnet systems and equipment.

Performs the job function in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and governmental regulations.

Supports Production with machine setups as needed to accomplish daily goals.

Ensures the plant is clean and free of debris or clutter.

Operates, adjusts, and performs maintenance on packaging equipment, such as: tablet counters, conveyors, printers, cartoners and other equipment to ensure compliance with established guidelines and procedures.

Performs record keeping functions (CMMS) such as documenting maintenance work performed, recording unusual operating conditions.

Performs various types of tests on mechanical and electrical equipment (Amperage, Volts, resistance).

Contributes to the efficiency of the department by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of the team to accomplish team unit goals, objectives, and activities.

Understands and learns SOPs, GMP, safety guidelines and have the ability to complete all required documentation.

Evaluates equipment and machine operations. Removes and repairs various equipment and components.

Supports installation of new equipment

Repairs hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies.

Other duties as required or directed.

Qualification:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required (associate degree, Trade School Certificate and/or Military Technical Training, a plus) Equivalent work experience may be substituted for technical/vocational experience (preferred).

College or formal technical school education with demonstrated aptitude and skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and welding techniques. One to two years in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).

1-2 years of experience in the maintenance industry, preferably in GMP environment.

Must be Bilingual English/Spanish.

Must have legible handwriting, and the ability to perform accurate documentation.

Must have good basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

Strong organizational skills, capable of following instructions, and multitasking.

Familiar with safety protocols associated with lock out/tag out.

Ability to work without close supervision and to set one’s own priorities.

Proficient with computer systems.
