Our client is an award winning designer and manufacturer of studio equipment in the motion picture industry. Be part of the initial team in a new state of the art production facility as an HR Generalist in Alpharetta, Georgia. Be the local face of HR in this exciting expansion, working with local leadership and the Hollywood headquarters team.
As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's human resources functions and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and excellent communication skills.
What you will do:
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs. Recruiting will be a primary project in the first year.
Post job openings, screen resumes, and conduct initial interviews
Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees
Address employee concerns and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
Conduct investigations into employee relations issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Process FMLA/CFRA requests
Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives
Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs
Support the performance appraisal process and provide feedback to employees and managers
What we are looking for:
4-6 years of HR experience
Proven experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field desired, not required
SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus
