Feed Mill Machine Operator

A Feed Mill Machine Operator reports to the Plant Manager for our Lethbridge, AB location. Operates equipment and machinery that requires a certain level of proficiency acquired through training on the job and specialized training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper documentation for Food Safety and follow quality standards

Ability to follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies

Executes operational activities / processes such as discharge, load, transport, clean, label, operate all equipment, in order to contribute to a safe, effective and efficient production processes

Perform the tasks related to the preventive and sanitary maintenance of the plant and ensure that the quality control requirements of the ingredients are met at all times

Operate the production line

Endeavors to be productive at all times; Other duties as required.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA

Experience working in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment preferred

Ability and availability to work rotational shifts and overtime as required

Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Willingness to learn

Ability to work with a team but also self-motivated to be able to work independently with minimal supervision

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Regular, Full-time, Mandatory shift-rotation.

GOOD TO KNOW

Must be able to lift 25kg; and ability to regularly bend and twist.

Occasional requirement to work at heights

Must possess a valid class 5 license

Have training and forklift driving experience (an asset).
