OVERVIEW:

The Senior Enrollment Manager holds a crucial role as they report directly to the Senior Director of Enrollment. They are responsible for identifying and admitting young adults who are the best fit for the Year Up program, primarily for the

Information Technology pathway. By developing authentic connections with prospective students and coordinating strategic campaigns, they help to attract passionate and driven individuals who are strongly aligned with our programmatic outcomes. Through their efforts in building and nurturing relationships with college/employer partners, local schools, and community-based organizations, the Senior Enrollment Manager stewards interested applicants in our

enrollment process. With their support in managing, evaluating, and improving enrollment operations, they help to ensure that we continue to deliver the highest quality program possible.

The Senior Enrollment Manager will also have the opportunity to interact with students as a mentor, group facilitator, and advocate in building a positive educational environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruitment

In partnership with the Recruitment team, develop and implement a recruitment plan to effectively build a strong pipeline of prospective students for each class

Cultivate and coordinate relationships with our community college/employer partners to identify prospective applicants

Build and maintain relationships with local high schools, community-based organizations and other groups that work with young adults from a full range of local communities to increase the pipeline of interested qualified candidates

Engage with prospective students through email, phone, text message, and in-person

Create and oversee a social media strategy to target high-potential candidates

Manage online and print ad placement for recruitment purposes

Host information sessions for interested candidates and present compelling information about Year Up’s program offerings

Manage the development and distribution of Year Up admissions collateral to local organizations

Organize and implement recruitment events

Oversee the implementation and monitor the success of the student ambassador program

Develop partnerships with community-based organizations and other partners that provide social services and student resources

Student Assessment/Admissions

Spearhead the building and execution admissions strategy and refine systems for admissions and applicant data tracking

Lead the team in admitting and enrolling of a full class of students

Create and manage the admissions calendar and ensure the implementation of all associated steps

Engage students at every stage of the admissions pipeline, with the goal of transforming prospective students into applicants, and applicants into enrolled students

Conduct one-on-one interviews and psychosocial assessments with prospective students as part of the admissions process

Facilitate Decision Forums and student on-boarding

Serve as a point of contact for potential applicants

Facilitate enrollment process with our college/employer partner, as applicable

Provide excellent customer service to every prospective student via phone and in-person

Work closely with Recruitment team to ensure strategic alignment and pipeline updates

Database & Document Management

Supervise the use of informative and compelling written and verbal communications to ensure quality assurance and a positive applicant experience.

Analyze and manage data to design and produce regular reports that track, document and measure recruitment & admissions progress; make appropriate recommendations for future initiatives based on program needs

Enter data, manage reports and ensure data integrity within Year Up’s national database (Salesforce.com)

Liaise with key partners to obtain student information

Develop proficiency in Salesforce.com report generation and usage to track recruitment statistics and inform improvements to the recruitment process

Track the weekly progress towards admissions & recruitment-related goals

Ensure proper usage of Year Up database and systems to ensure the most efficient storage of information and utilization of data

Partner Liaison (as applicable – will depend on individual site)

Serve as a conduit between the college (enrollment and financial aid offices)/employer-based team and Year Up program staff

Manage day-to-day relationship(s) with the employer/college partner ’s administration (enrollment management, admissions, financial aid, operations, human resources, project lead, etc.) to oversee on-site recruitment and ensure that enrollment and financial aid information is up-to-date

Ensure that all of the employer/college partner’s enrollment objectives are integrated into project plans, data collection, and outcomes measurement

Site Team/Learning Community Member

Serve as a coach/mentor for a small number of current students

Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students

Participate in staff meetings and trainings

People Management

Manage direct report(s); organize their work and projects and focus on their professional development

Support training and onboarding

Most tasks can be completed from a home office, although some events may require in-person attendance, including recruitment and weekend or evening activities

Salary Range: $60,000-$77,000

QUALIFICATIONS:

3-5 years of professional experience preferred, preferably in recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and/or partnership development

Experience creating and managing social media campaigns to drive results

Pipeline management experience preferred

Previous customer service experience (cold calling experience a plus)

Community outreach and public speaking experience

Ability to assess student's social-emotional needs

A high level of detail-orientation, and an analytical focus on process

Effective communication skills with strong follow up

Strong attention to detail and ability to self-start

Ability to connect quickly and authentically with people

Experience managing and working with external stakeholders

Strong work ethic and positive attitude, with a willingness to be flexible

Professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience working with young, ethnically diverse populations

Evidence of cultural sensitivity in past employment and life experiences

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required

Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Year Up has established salary ranges for each of our sites, which allows us to pay employees competitively, equitably and consistently in different geographic markets. For roles in which the location is listed as flexible, the range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Salary offers take into account a candidate’s skills, experience, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
