Assist with procedures and administer medications
Room patients and maintain patient flow per schedule
Take vitals, draw blood, EKG testing
Document patient information, treatments and charges
Organize, stock and maintain orderly, clean and uncluttered work areas
Adhere to all safety standards; maintain current knowledge of medications, waste disposal and sterile techniques
Maintain CPR and other appropriate certifications
Respond to and participate in all medical emergencies and codesRequired SkillsMedical Assistant required skills & qualification include:
High school diploma or GED
Graduate of a state-recognized vocational school or equivalent
Medical Assistant diploma; current CPR certificate
At least three years of experience as a back office MA (ambulatory care facility or medical group practice preferred)
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows
Bilingual in English/Spanish
Highly responsible, punctual, dependable, detail-oriented, multitasker
Advanced customer-service skills; calm under pressure; works well in a group
