Qualification : BE / M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience : 6 - 8 Years in Motor Design Field
Key Responsibilities / Functions:
· Motor Design: Lead the mechanical design process for various types of motors, including AC motors, DC motors, brushless DC motors, and servo motors.
· Component Design: Develop detailed designs for all mechanical components of motors, including rotors, stators, shafts, bearings, housings, and cooling systems, considering factors such as material selection, manufacturing processes, and heat transfer efficiency.
· Material Select: Utilize your expertise to select appropriate materials for motor components, considering factors such as mechanical properties, thermal conductivity, and cost-effectiveness.

· Manufacturing Process: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes for motor components, ensuring manufacturability, efficiency, and quality control.
· Heat Transfer Optimization: Implement effective heat transfer mechanisms within motor designs to ensure optimal thermal management and prevent overheating issues.
· Structural Simulation: Utilize structural simulation tools to analyze and optimize the structural integrity and performance of motor components, ensuring durability and reliability under various operating conditions.
· CFD Analysis: Utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques to analyze and optimize the airflow and cooling systems within motors, maximizing thermal efficiency and performance.
· Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, design engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical and electrical systems seamlessly within motor designs.
· Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports, to ensure clear communication and documentation of design decisions and outcomes.
Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
· 6-8 years of experience in the field of motor design, with a strong focus on mechanical engineering aspects.
· Thorough knowledge of various types of motors, their construction, and principles of operation.
· Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and design.
· Experience with structural simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) and CFD analysis tools (e.g., Fluent, COMSOL) is preferred.
· Strong understanding of material science, manufacturing processes, and heat transfer principles.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
· Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs that meet performance and reliability requirements.
