Senior Cloud Engineer

As a successful Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will develop, build and improve the tooling to automate our platforms and services that reside in our multi-tenant, multi-datacenter, and multi-cloud infrastructure. You will deliver private and public cloud-based service offerings. You will build services to enable small teams the ability to operate infrastructures with diverse security, compliance, and customer requirements. Your platform services will support Acxiom developed services integration, automation, testing, deployments, and operations. You will write code to develop tools that support the full IT lifecycle.

What You Will Do:

Automate public cloud platform services

Produce quality code that is efficient, secure, supportable, and consistent

Write code to build services, tools, APIs, and application integrations

Possess a sound understanding of Acxiom functional and business objectives

Evaluate requirements and define an overall project

Ensure all capabilities delivered align with original business objectives

Collaborate with other engineers and architects

Operate the platforms and services you deliver

Provide sophisticated technical expertise, oversight, and accountability for outages

Closely partner with information security to ensure security compliance

Requirements:

5+ years software engineering experience

3+ years JavaScript, Python, or Ruby development

3+ years developing automation tools, RESTful web services, or APIs

2+ years developing on public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Production Service Ownership

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field

Strong English communication skills

What Will Set You Apart:

Developing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or similar

Cloud native development experience

Project delivery of IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS

Experience working with VMware Aria Automation

Multi-cloud, Systems, and Networking integration projects

Foundational understanding of ITIL and associated processes

Extensive experience designing, developing, testing complex software solutions to support distributed, scalable and highly available applications

Desired Certifications:

AWS or GCP Developer or DevOps Engineer
