NATIONAL OCCUPATION CODE 42201 POSITION TYPE TERM (18 Months), FULL-TIME Job Summary: As a Community Development Worker, you will support residents and stakeholders in enhancing community capacity through holistic and collaborative approaches. Your role will involve relationship building, community engagement, program development, and administrative duties, aiming to address the diverse needs of North End Neighborhoods. Key Responsibilities:

Foster ongoing community engagement and mobilize resident leadership.

Support and develop resident associations and grassroots initiatives.

Coordinate and manage volunteers and seasonal project staff.

Develop annual work plans with community residents and organizations.

Conduct outreach and engage neighborhood residents, associations, and coalitions.

Assist in the development and implementation of community programs and activities.

Perform administrative tasks including report writing, proposals, and budget management. Qualifications:

University Degree or College Diploma in a related field (or equivalent experience).

1-2 years of experience working in an inner-city setting.

Deep understanding of community planning, development theories, and best practices.

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in computer skills, including Windows XP and Microsoft applications. Other Key Skills/Knowledge:

Experience in community development and group facilitation.

Knowledge of the North End of Winnipeg and its diverse community.

Experience working with marginalized populations.
