Company sales have grown double digits every year since launch, with Freshpet not only taking its place as the leader in the fresh pet food category, but also as the largest pet food brand in US grocery stores.

Freshpet is looking to add an Account Receivable Manager to our growing Accounting Team!

The responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Manager are to manage people, process and systems associated with Freshpet AR process which includes the following: Process * Develop and maintain data-driven metrics to define success for the team and evaluate team capacity.

* Participate in monthly close activities and reconcile month end A/R Aging Report to the trial balance in collaboration with other members of the Accounting Team.

* Manage credit and collection activities such as following up with past due accounts, credit risk monitoring, new customer set up, regular customer credit evaluations and keep tracks of cash receipts.

* Application and recording of customer remittance payments and chargeback to invoices while working closing with the sales and operation teams for researching and disputing unanticipated customer deductions and chargebacks.

* Assist with the implementation of processes and procedures relating to internal controls for the purpose of maintaining accurate and timely invoicing and collections.

People * Provide leadership and guidance: to the accounts receivable department, including daily supervision, interviewing and recommend hiring of new staff members; providing or arranging for training for staff; evaluating staff performance; and recommending personnel actions to ensure adequate and competent staffing.

* Communicate effectively and maintain a professional relationship with external and internal customers.

Systems * Identify and implement AR process and system improvements to support the company and streamline efforts.

Work Experience Requirements * 5+ years minimum experience of Accounts Receivable experience, including 3 years in supervisory role.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Training * Ability to pay close attention to detail with excellent accuracy, completeness and consistency, while adhering to strict deadlines with excellent organization and ability to thoroughly document and organized workpapers.

* Strong communication skills (written and oral) to present information, provide status updates and respond to inquiries from various managers, internal and external customers of the organization.

* Effective time management skills to develop and direct realistic action plans for the supervised teams, while creating an environment encouraging collaboration and ensuring internal and external stakeholder satisfaction.

* Experienced utilizing accounting data within an ERP system, extracting and formatting ERP data exports and managing organized paperless records * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel Skills Work Environment and Time Requirements * Work extended hours to complete tasks/special projects * Occasional travel Education Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
