This position is for a Technical Expert - Electronic Module Assembly Verification for Full-Service Supplier Electronic Control Units which serves as the Ford Corporate lead for verification of complete electronic module assemblies.

Technical Expert - Electronic Module Assembly Verification for Full Service Supplier (FSS) Electronic Control Units (within EEHW organization) What you'll do...

Ford Corporate lead for verification of complete electronic module assemblies.

Own the corporate electronic module verification requirements-Analytical and Physical testing.

Lead the process of improved testing methods including test to failure and degradation testing for verifying module designs.

Specify best practices in module validation for electrical and mechanical stresses.

Lead corporate wide technical document for module verification.

Lead Ford electronic module assembly design requirements to ensure upfront best practices are applied on all electronic modules.

Define acceptable material types for proper lifetime exposure.

Define mechanical interface and joining processes which have demonstrated robustness.

Lead technical reviews with suppliers to ensure compliance to design requirements.

Document failure modes and feedback to improved design requirements.

Develop CAE and physical stress-based reliability processes with robust accelerated test methodologies.

Develop processes using industry standard CAE tools and methods to provide up-front design and validation risk assessment.

Lead reviews of supplier implementation of the CAE tool application Develop accelerated testing methods to ensure lifetime exposure is assured using Arrhenius life aging predictions.

Develop accelerated testing methods using vibration acceleration methods and proper vibration validation based on module location in vehicle.

Develop new test methods to improve performance against predicted thermal, mechanical, and electrical stress.

Develop and Specify post-test evaluation of modules to ensure reliable performance.

Lead documentation and communication of manufacturing best practices Perform confirmation reviews at module supplier manufacturing facilities and at Ford vehicle assembly facilities.

Develop supplier review checklist documents for program reviews by module design and release engineers.

Work with supplier technical assistance team to ensure requirement compliance on ongoing production hardware.

Conduct Deep Dive Audits of data results at key vehicle program milestones.

Audit CAE and physical test data with suppliers.

Ensure testing was performed to expected standards and test requirements.

Audit program level verification evidence to ensure program compliance to necessary data requirements.

Audit applicability and quality of evidence for Design Rules stored in FEDE for programs.

Review supplier DFMEAs, especially around new design features.

Review early program assumptions and identify new potential noise factors, customer usage, and failure modes risks.

Ensure Ford and industry lessons learned are documents in the associated quality history.

Audit alignment of classification of significant and critical characteristics in appropriate documents.

Confirm all Design Rules & Requirements have been assessed at key milestones.

Lead resolution of Module assembly validation issues.

Lead the creation of and conduct training, seminars, mentoring to support Ford design and release community and supplier technical assistance teams.
