Responsibilities

Position Summary : The Home Health Aide will provide personal healthcare and related services as an extension of nursing or therapy services to the patient in their residence; Assist in providing a safe and clean environment, work cooperatively with the patient, caregiver, and family; Share observations and problems with the supervisor; Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)

Qualifications

Certified Nurses Aide license (CNA) required. Current driver's license and auto liability. If practicing in Oklahoma, must have Certified Nurses Aide license and home health certification. AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider card showing completion of cognitive and skills evaluation in accordance with the curriculum of AHA BLS (CPR & AED) program at hire. Reliable transportation required.

At least one year experience preferred as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home or home health agency.

Must be able to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to patients, representatives, and caregivers, as well as to other Agency staff. Demonstrates interest in the welfare of the ill and elderly. Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist and written Skills Test after hire.
