This position is non-merit and serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority Salary Range: $46,520 - $74,898 depending on experience Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to provide technical and logistical support pertaining to audio and visual equipment to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Board of Commissioners and other county departments as needed.

Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position.

Other duties may be required and assigned.

Provides technical and logistical support for audio and visual equipment in auditoriums, meeting rooms, training rooms, etc.; and sets up props, stages, microphones, cameras, and seating for event participants.

Organizes, plans, and executes technical and logistical support for audio and visual equipment at special events, press conferences, openings, groundbreaking ceremonies and similar events; transports and sets up audiovisual equipment and operates audiovisual for production events.

Operates or uses various audiovisual equipment, including audio mixers, video switchers, microphones, projectors, lighting systems, light trucks, and hand dollies to complete work assignments; and maintains equipment, troubleshoots problems, and schedules outside maintenance for equipment malfunctions.

Monitors and maintains the Maloof Auditorium technical grid; preps and confirms audiovisual equipment is set up and ready for production events; researches and recommends items needed for audiovisual upkeep to include light equipment repair (cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and component replacement). Interacts with vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with terms of contract, including detailing of work to be completed, and delivery of materials and/or services.

Procures, uploads, downloads, copies, and acquires digital and other forms of graphic data (PowerPoint, video files, audio files, etc) to be used during any production event audiovisual support is being provided.

Performs technical data advance with event coordinator(s) for all events audio-visual support is being provided; conducts logistical data advance for internal as well as off-site productions, as it pertains to load-in/out times, designated production area, power requirements, data connections requirements, and storage of production materials, etc; performs off-site survey of production facilities.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and technical training in Audiovisual Technology, Sound Engineering or related field required; two years of experience in sound engineering, audiovisual support and/or television broadcasting; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
