The Senior Assembly and Test Operator is responsible for assembling and testing products, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Roles and Responsibilities: * Assemble components of all products, selecting the correct tools and fixtures.
* Test assembled products.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
* Read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent tools and rework techniques; operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
* Educate employees on quality and safety standards and procedures.
* Train and coach employees on administrative or technical processes and procedures.
* Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement to improve asset utilization and assembly turnaround time.
* Create labor records for all transactions.
* Ensure good housekeeping within own work area.
* Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to relating Risk Assessments.
* Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or related experience.
* Must be mechanically adept; able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
* Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written and oral instructions; write legibly.
* Experience working with assembly related operations or equivalent preferred.
