Position Summary: An electric motor mechanic works to identify issues and repair electric motors used in a variety of equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Basic Knowledge of mechanics and tools.
* Knowledge of raw materials and quality control.
* Able to dismantle electric motor to inspect the rotating equipment that the motors use to generate power.
* Repair or component replacement.
* Able to diagnostic tests and preventive maintenance.
* Record production and operational data.
Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 1-2 years of experience in electric motor repair shop a plus.
* Able to actively listen and quickly read to make informed and necessary decisions promptly.
* Having a good and steady and dexterous hand.
* Ability to cut, strip, grind, bend wire leads, or solder at end of coil.
* Knowledge on how to examine and test rotating motor a plus.
* Able to identify different types of AC/DC motors a plus.
* Ability to work under the close direction of supervisor.
* Able to use overhead crane, drive forklift.
