More information on these policies can be found here: Board of Regents Policy Manual University System of Georgia (usg.edu). Job Summary The primary responsibility for the Assistant Registrar is the management of transfer credit evaluations.

Duties include managing personnel, student records, ARCHE (Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education) responsibilities, articulation catalogs and registration, while adhering to academic, state and federal regulations and delivering professional and exceptional customer service to students, faculty and administration.

This Assistant Registrar is responsible for the transfer credits evaluation process and assists with registration, orientation, Degree Works, and course substitutions.

This individual is expected to play a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first-class customer service.

Position will also provide support to the Enrollment Management Services Division.

Collaborative and team-oriented skills with a commitment to student success and diversity are essential attributes to this position.

Responsibilities * Ensures compliance with BOR and University College policies: Assists in reviewing, implementing, and enforcing academic policies related to transfer evaluations * Leads the overall management of transfer credit and credits received through credit by exam; manages the Banner SIS transfer credit and credits catalog database and equivalencies; ensures that GGC transfer credit catalog extracts are uploaded to GATRACS * Supervises assigned staff members; supervises staff responsible for performing evaluation and application of credits to student's transfer credits through domestic, international, credit by exam, military credits, articulation agreements.

* Coordinates transfer articulation review * Collaborates with academic departments to resolve records, degree audits, course substitution issues; ensures transfer-related practices/protocol; leads reviews of transfer articulations and MOUs with academic departments; ensures articulations adhere to USG and College standards, and ensure team is informed of agreements * Collaborates with the DegreeWorks scribe employee to identify and mitigate DegreeWorks and curriculum scribe issues * Assists with the planning, design, implementation, and testing of new software applications (Banner upgrades); performs testing of existing database applications when updates occur or as needed * Represents the Office of the Registrar on selected college committees; provides guidance and training to the campus community on transfer evaluation policies and procedures; assists students at orientation with registration, answering questions regarding transfer credits; responds to assigned call tickets, email, and phone calls.
