Forklift Operator

Who we are looking for: We are currently searching for a Forklift Operator / Loader to be based out of Molalla and/or Aurora, Oregon.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Forklift Operator's primary focus will be pulling and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks/flatbeds, moving product, and making sure the product is secure and safe.

Our starting rate is $21.00 per hour with additional shift premium for working swing shift.

What you'll do: * Follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE * Follow yard and dock loading/unloading safety rules and procedures * Be able to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment * Inspect products and packaging for damage * Package, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation * Proficient with all sorts of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks and banders.

* Accurately receive and record inbound freight shipments * Correctly identify and put away purchased/manufactured products as may be necessary * Unload product from flatbeds and docked van freight * Packing accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level * Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup * All other assigned duties What you'll bring: * High School diploma or equivalent * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Good understanding of basic math * High attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization * Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment in a calm and logical manner * Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment * Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds * Safety Toe Shoes Required By joining Atkore, you can expect competitive pay, paid holidays, vacation accrual upon hire, as well as a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k) after 30 days of continuous employment.
