Maintenance Supervisor (FT, AC)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

1.

Supervise, direct work, work with, and coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in maintaining and repairing college utility systems including power plant and steam distribution, electrical and plumbing, sewage and storm drainage, heating, cooling and ventilating and natural gas systems.

2.

Maintain, develop and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules in the areas of electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and ventilating systems 3.

Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines, equipment, and personnel.

Recommend measures to improve work methods, equipment performance and quality.

4.

Diagnose defects and malfunctions of equipment, machinery and systems, including automated central building control systems, recommending corrective measures and initiating needed repair work.

5.

Prepare estimates, quotes and documents of needed materials, tools, equipment and personnel for daily assignments and projects.

6.

Responsible for inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

7.

Order supplies, parts, and materials as required.

8.

Submit maintenance reports and studies as directed.

9.

Attend safety meetings, work progress meetings and divisional supervisory meetings and submit oral or written reports as directed.

10.

Attends Plant Operations project design meetings with Project A/E teams.

11.

Coordinates Plant Operations contractor schedules/activities.

12.

Acts as Assistant Facilities Director when Director is on leave/vacation.

13.

Assists with the solicitation of project quotes.
