JOB TITLE: Senior Environmental Specialist Level 2 AGENCY: Construction & Development DEPT/DIV: Delivery / Delivery Services Office REPORTS TO: Senior Environmental Specialist 3 WORK LOCATION: 2 Broadway HOURS OF WORK: 9:00 AM to 5:30 P M or as required (7.5HR/ DAY ) HAY POINTS: 677 SALARY RANGE : $ 9 7,344 to $ 127,764 DEADLINE: Open Until Filled S ummary Senior Specialist Level 2 supports Project Management for a n extensiv e, multi-year permitting/design and construction project/program.

They perform quality assurance reviews for Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments, provide technical assistance to project management staff regarding their specific discipline, investigate potential regulatory violations, and perform testing related to their discipline.

Responsibilities Involved with supporting large field efforts supporting air/noise/wetlands/archeology/historic infrastructure/asbestos & lead abatement/hazardous material categorization & disposal.

Ensures that the team has tracked necessary equipment, reviewed and logged calibration requirements, and assist with making sure crews have safety plans and files daily logs.

Assists in staffing and resource allocation for program/project needs . Manages task schedules and develops rebase lining methods needed Applies MTA C&D quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management.

Tracks reports and help drive deliverable schedules.

Assists in preparing portions of reports and permit documents.

Works with GIS support to communicate any updates.

Education and Experience Bachelors in Environmental Science/Environmental Technology/Environmental Management /Archaeology / Anthropology /Biology /Wildlife or an equivalent subject.

Masters preferred.

Various Disciplines may be (but are not limited to): Historic Preservation and Cultural; Environmental Resources, Asbestos, Lead, and Hazardous Materials.

Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience . Must have a minimum of four (4) years in a management or supervisory role and/or project manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization.

Competencies: CEP-IT certification is desirable.

Experience performing site inspections, documenting site conditions and construction activities, coordinating with Agency Owner and contractor staff, and responding to contractor requests for information.

Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have focus and ability to deliver on results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

Must possess excellent team - building, listening, problem - solving, and prioritization skills.

Proficiency in current industry software and Microsoft Office are required.

Has experience in interpreting reports and analysis.

An attitude and commitment to actively participating in our employee culture are necessary . Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.

Knowledge of the capital design and construction process.
