Job Responsibilities Instruction of course work, maintain/development of training aids, and general assistance as assigned to support the Caterpillar program and network.

All responsibility of a faculty member with the additional responsibility to participate with Caterpillar Inc.

and dealer activities to support the program.

Job Functions: * Provide high quality instruction, teach courses as assigned, provide students with course documentation, demonstrate effective interaction skills, relate instruction/materials to course objectives, develop creative class activities, use various teaching techniques, and organize instruction.

* Provide academic advising, assist with recruitment, develop and implement successful retention activities, assist in graduate placement, assist in student orientation/registration, provide appropriate safety instruction.

* Manage classroom/lab, clinic activities in an orderly manner, hold 8 office hours per week, submit all required reports in a timely manner, prepare budget projections for equipment and supplies, and practice good housekeeping, repair equipment as appropriate.

* Design new programs, revise curricula, develop new courses, develop and revise instructional materials for current courses, participate in advisory committees.

* Work on college committees, perform public service for the college, supervise/chaperone student events, promote the purpose and institutional objections of the college, and build rapport with employers of graduates.

Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline, or associate degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.

Candidate must be proficient in diesel engines, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, powertrain, brakes and air condition systems utilized in heavy equipment.

Two years of documented diesel or mechanical systems training with work experience to include two years of equipment maintenance and repair.

Preferred Qualifications The minimum as listed, plus five years of Caterpillar dealer experience preferred.

Knowledge of Caterpillar Dealer service operations and CIAP certification is a plus.

Successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator that is apt to sharing, teaching and inspiring the next generation of Caterpillar service technicians.
