Teaches twelve (12) undergraduate hours (4 courses) per semester.

Engages in multiple service related activities such as student advising, including mentoring and service at the departmental, school, college, professional, and community levels; and actively engages in scholarly or creative activities and/or strong demonstration of emerging record thereof including pursuit or external grants.

This is a full-time tenure track faculty position to start Fall 2023.

Experience The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience teaching in the area of forensic science; publications in relevant forensic science peer-reviewed journals, and active memberships in relevant forensic science organizations.

Applicants should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching, student advising, and student mentoring.

Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of teaching effectiveness at the undergraduate level, evidence of academic scholarship and research ability/potential to publish in peer-reviewed academic journals, the potential for securing external grants, and evidence of building community partnerships.

Candidates must be committed to working with diverse populations and be conversant in multicultural issues.

Preferred Qualifications: Expert witness testimony and experience in local, state and/or federal criminal courts; exceptional ability to collaborate with external partners, law enforcement agencies, and private organizations to develop internships and specialized training; and the ability to secure external funding for research Education Ph.D.

in Forensic Science, Chemistry, or scientific related field from an accredited institution.
