This is skilled inspectional work in enforcing the ordinances and regulations governing plumbing and related installations.

JURISDICTION YEARLY RATE MOBILE COUNTY $49,294 - $78,804 CITY OF MOBILE $43,644- $69,772 * MOBILE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT $48.092 - $76,883 * Amended 10/17/2023 Amended 10/24/2023 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, supplemented by two years of trade school or college course work in plumbing and a minimum of three years journeyman level experience in the plumbing field; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence.

Possession of a current Master or Journeyman Plumber certificate issued by the State of Alabama Plumbers and Gas Fitters Examining Board.
