Summary: A member of the general Accounting staff assisting with the preparation of financial statements, records and reports for all Seneca companies.

Responsibilities: 15%: Responsible for overseeing the fleet management program including acquisition and disposal of vehicles, coordination of debt and related lease payments, registrations, fuel cards, vehicle maintenance and reporting including the allocation and posting of all related activity to the general ledger.

* 15%: Responsible for fixed asset accounting in FAS including depreciation for book and tax and reconciliation to the general ledger.

Works closely with financial auditors on all fixed asset related items.

* 15%: Responsible for debt reconciliations and booking current and long-term portions quarterly.

* 15%: Assist with the monthly close process, analytical review of business unit financial statements, interest allocation, and preparation of various reconciliations on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.

This includes monthly calculations of sales rep commissions, rebates, general contracting and remediation job work-in-progress, investments, prepaid insurance, and fixed assets along with other duties as assigned.

* 15%: Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and financial audit.

* 15%: Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements: * Education: Requires knowledge of accounting principals and practices as would normally be acquired through a four-year college level course of study in accounting or equivalent training or experience.

* Experience: 3-6 years of experience in the financial/accounting field is required or equivalent education.

* Licenses/Certifications: None.

Certified Public Accountant certification preferred.

* Technical Abilities: Must possess a fundemental knowledge and experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skill with the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills involving the use of fractions, decimals and percentages.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail along with advanced computer skills with a focus on Excel.

* Autonomy/Direction: Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Typically reports to a senior leader Conditions of Employment Working Hazards: Works in a seated position for extended periods of time.

* Physical/Mental Exertion Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis, performing such activities as fingering, grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, and repetitive tasks.

Continuous attention to numerical detail.

Normal office environment.

* Tools and Equipment: Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate computer and general office equipment.

Works with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.

Highly computer literate and uses accounting, supply chain and CRM software.
