YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE CONSIDERED INCOMPLETE WITHOUT THE FORM LISTED BELOW: You MUST attach * DPS criminal background check permission form SUMMARY Maintains and repairs various systems and equipment, including, but not limited to, heaters, air conditioners, electrical equipment, and plumbing; monitors and maintains security, fire alarm, and energy management systems; and fills out appropriate paperwork for documentation of work performed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

* Monitor's energy management system (computer operated), including making changes in overall HVAC by data input or deletion, and making changes in program as needed.

* Must have 5 years of field experience or more in electrical and with a thorough understanding and ability to install, troubleshoot, repair and service commercial equipment.

* Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques.

* Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.

* Ability and willingness to analyze and resolve work orders or any inquiries when making diagnosis on repairs that include resolving a variety of performance issues when making replacement decisions.

* Provides ongoing technical training to ensure we maintain the level of knowledge and skill to do quality work and to prepare for the future growth of our department.

* Must hold and keep an active state electrical license and /or is willing to obtain/maintain a license/certificate.

* Cross training with Facilities System Technician to be well versed in Operations per all Midland County locations.

* Must have a strong grasp of best practices and principles related to electrical system installation, maintenance, and operations.

* Calibrates and adjusts thermometers and provides routine maintenance and repair work for thermostats.

* Provides routine maintenance and repair work for various motors, pumps, and valves.

* Provides routine maintenance and repair work for boilers, chillers, cooling tower and all other related mechanical equipment.

* Perform exteriors rounds to keep ground free of debris and in a presentable manner.

* Performs installation, repair work, and general maintenance on all forms of electrical equipment.

* Replaces and repairs such electrical components as relays, transformers, electrical motors, motor controls, starters, capacitors, and contactors.

* Conducts visual inspections of electrical equipment and components.

* Replaces lamps and repairs equipment in various light fixtures.

* Conducts visual inspection of plumbing fixtures, fittings, pipes, and joints.

* Installs, repairs, and maintains restroom lavatories, sinks, and their various fittings and fixtures.

* Installs, repairs, and maintains electric water coolers, reverse osmosis units, chilled water-cooling systems, and sewage ejectors.

* Completes work logs, work orders, and various paperwork necessary for documentation of work and services performed.

* Adhere to county and departmental policies and procedures.

* Maintain County issued vehicle and equipment in a clean and good working condition.

* Ability to be a collaborator committed to the success of Midland County.

* Regular and timely attendance is required.

* Additional responsibilities added by Facilities Service Coordinator QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school graduation or its equivalent, trade school, or three years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

SKILL/ABILITY TO Previous knowledge or willingness to learn to read different schematic diagrams (plumbing, HV AC, and electrical); operate computers, including making appropriate changes to computer program; identify various types of chemicals and refrigerants; write work orders and daily logs; identify part numbers and order correct parts; maintain organized system of filing; perform mathematical calculations; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have and maintain a valid, clear driving record.
