New Construction apprentice HVAC technicians will report at the start of each work shift to their supervisor and check with supervisor throughout the day for duties.

* Notify supervisor of any situations or problems that would result in delays or work not being completed as expected.

* Removing old systems * Installing new systems * Performing routine maintenance * Training other team members * Communicating with clients and customers * Ordering and maintaining equipment * Meeting local HVAC codes * May work occasionally with stressed and upset customers.

You are required to treat all customers with respect and concern.

If at any time you feel you cannot assist them in a timely manner or answer their questions completely, you must get the assistance of your supervisor.

* Prepare paperwork accurately and submit in a timely manner.

This includes job progress information, timecards, materials requisition sheets, return to stock forms, and other information required for the job.

Must train all reporting personnel how to properly fill out paperwork as well.

* Supervisors are examples to their reporting personnel.

They should have a sound working knowledge of company policies, code and procedures and work to enforce these policies.

* Must assist foreman in evaluating jobsites regularly and report to the Operations Manager or the General Manager of any person, equipment or situation that poses a health and safety hazard.

Assists in informing all personnel on the jobsite of safety problems and report to the General Manager or Operations Manager about the progress in correcting the problem.

* Maintain assigned truck, including gas, checking oil levels, and ensuring staff mechanic performs regular preventative maintenance.

Maintains inventory of parts, supplies, and tools in assigned vehicle needed to perform work.

Obtain parts, supplies, and tools from inventory or request ordering from Purchasing.

* Responsible for keeping work vehicles cleaned inside and restocked.

Works with supervisor to make order lists for parts and materials needed each workday.

* All employees are required to take a proactive stance on safety.

Should an issue or circumstance arise that poses a health or safety issue or hazard, it is the responsibility of all employees to notify their supervisor and/or the safety officer.

* Must understand current company policies, abide by such policies, and ensure that those reporting to this position holder also are aware of all policies and abide by them.

* If assisting with supervision of others, must report all absences, lateness, and disciplinary action to your supervisor.

* Is responsible for, or assists the foreman, in the training, coaching, discipline and evaluation of reporting apprentices and laborers.

Job Requirements: * Pass a drug test & Background Check * Must understand English in a competent manner in order to clearly communicate questions, instructions or safety concerns to coworkers, supervisor, and those they supervise.

* A valid driver's license and clean MVR * Ability to perform multiple technical tasks to include operating equipment, adhering to safety practices, and planning/managing projects.

* Sound knowledge of water, heating, and ventilation systems.

* Work strategies and schematics * Local building codes and safety regulations * Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

* Basic math and measurement skills.

* Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.

* Physical fitness and the ability to work in various conditions, including tight spaces and at heights.

* Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
