Turner Industries Group is looking for a FRP Pipefitter for work near the Plaquemine, LA area.

* Salary based on Knowledge of process.

* Laminating and fabrication of FRP and Dual Laminates on a plant site.

* Must be able to obtain TWIC card and Security Passport.

* Good knowledge of FRP Laminating, FRP materials ( working with different resins) * Familiar with mixing ratios and skilled in composition of materials for FRP piping and tanks.

* Ability to use basic FRP prep tools.

Saws, sanders and pencil grinders.

* Skilled with equipment and materials to build the FRP composite parts, hardware bonding and assembly of final parts with strict conformance to customer drawing prints, specifications, quality standards and inspection sheets.

* Ability read a tape measure, lift 50Lbs and use hand tools grinders, sanders, wrenches.

* Ability to comprehend and follow written work procedure, specifications and work standards.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

* Ability to maintain a clean & organized environment.

* Effective oral and written communication skills.

* Team-working and coordination skills.

* Proven experience of working in Plastics/FRP Composites industry too successful building or repair FRP components.

Functional Requirements: Selects size and type of pipe and related material according to job specifications; inspects work sites to determine presence of obstructions and to ascertain that holes will not cause structural weakness; plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers; cuts, threads and bends pipe; assembles and installs a variety of metal and nonmetal pipe fittings, including those made of brass, copper, lead, glass and plastic; joins pipe by means of threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints; secures pipe to structure with clamps, brackets and hangers; installs and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning systems including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls and piping; test piping system for leaks.

Qualification Standards: * Minimum of four (4) years of experience in specified skill * Written pre-employment qualification test * Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation * Hazard Communication orientation/test * Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.) * Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.) * Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place.

Tools/Equipment: Employee may be required to provide the following: tool box, pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, level, torpedo level, square, tri square, plumb bob, channel locks, hammer, center punch, flat or regular screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, set of combination wrenches, tape, folding rule, wrap around, work gloves, striker, cutting goggles, tip cleaner, rain suit Physical Involvement: Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
