Position Summary The Senior Manager of Category Management is responsible for driving category and brand growth among several large national and regional retail partners.

This role is critical in shaping and executing category strategies that align with our business objectives.

This individual will lead category reviews with limited supervision, aggregate disparate sources of information and distill down to identify areas of opportunity to optimize merchandising, assortment, pricing, and promotion.

This role also provides insights and strategy development to internal cross functional and leadership teams to assist in short- and long-term planning.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Kroger and 84.51.

They will exhibit both analytical curiosity to uncover patterns and new opportunities, as well as strength in crafting succinct, coherent and actionable presentations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive and customizable category strategies that drive mutual growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.

Provide strategic and tactical recommendations that improve distribution, shelf placement, quality merchandising, and pricing.

* Retailer Relationship Management: Establish self as category thought leader in strategic customer meetings and interactions, with an ability to develop and maintain strong buyer relationships.

* Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with sales leads, marketing, and sales planning to ensure alignment on reset & review timing, innovation launch planning, trade effectiveness, assortment optimization, and long-range planning.

* Data Analytics and Insights: Be the go-to expert and educator for syndicated scan, panel, and loyalty card data.

Aggregate and analyze disparate sources of information to derive actionable insights that lead to informed decision-making.

* Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed and lead internal discussions around industry macro trends, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging category trends.

* Price Strategy: Provide guidance and recommendations to sales, sales planning, and finance on revenue growth management opportunities.

* Commercialization Material: Create coherent, professional and polished presentations/content for internal and external utilization.
