Estimator

DESCRIPTION Murphy Company, the Best Choice in Mechanical construction since 1907, is hiring an Estimator for our Thornton, CO office.

As an Estimator, you will be a part of Murphy's preconstruction team, the get work gurus.

You will assist the Chief and Senior Estimator(s) in helping to build our company's portfolio by utilizing your attention to detail and time management skills to produce timely, accurate, and thorough estimates for projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

We are looking for you to be a part of our get work initiative by estimating plumbing, sheet metal, mechanical, hydronic, and process piping systems.

Our ideal candidate should possess the following traits: * 1-5+ years Estimator experience in Plumbing, HVAC and Process Piping of Institutional, Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Brewery, Healthcare, and Industrial related projects.

* Responsible to lead all estimates up to $1M.

On larger projects, Estimator will work under guidance of a Senior Estimator.

* Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects.

* Skilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

* Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor.

* Understand construction field conditions, means and methods, and project schedules.

* Quickpen / Autobid software experience preferred.

* Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam experience preferred.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* You will be responsible for soliciting, evaluating, and preparing bid proposals in the most attractive manner to general contractors and owners.
