Description Tradesmen International is looking to expand our team of qualified Marine Trade Professionals for current & future projects in and around Newport News, VA . Most positions are first shift with a pay range of $24-38/hour based on experience plus Per Diem to qualified Travelers 60+ miles from the job site.

Job Scope : * Layout and Fabricate Metal Structural Parts, such as Plates, Bulkheads, and Frames, and Braces them into Position within Hull of Ship for Riveting or Welding * Lays out Position of Parts on Metal * Using Scribe and Hand Tools * Locate and Mark Reference, such as Center, Buttock and Frame Lines * Position Parts in Hull of Ship, assisted by Rigger * Aligns Parts in Relation to each other, using Jacks, Turnbuckles, Clips, Wedges, and Mauls * Marks Location of Holes to be Drilled and Installs Temporary Fasteners to Hold Part in Place for Welding or Riveting * Installs Packing and Gaskets, Liners and Structural Accessories and Members, such as Doors, Hatches, Brackets and Clips * Prepare Molds and Templates for Fabrication of Non-Standard Parts * Tack Weld Clips and Brackets in Place Prior to Permanent Welding * Roll, Bend, Flange, Cute and Shape Plates, Beams, and other Heavy Metal Parts, using Shop Machinery, such as Plate Rolls, Presses, Bending Brakes and Joggle Machines Requirements: * Able to Read Blueprints or Templates * Tools for the Trade * Proper PPE * OSHA 10 is Preferred Company Details Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
