Position: Japanese Bilingual Senior Tax Consultant Work Location: Hybrid (Honolulu, HI) Industry: CPA Firm OVERVIEW: The Senior Tax Associate will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and efficient tax solutions to diverse portfolio of corporate clients utilizing your expertise and in-depth knowledge of corporate tax regulations and laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO: * Oversee and manage the preparation, review, and submission of complex corporate tax returns for a wide range of clients.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
* Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive tax strategies aimed at minimizing tax liabilities, maximizing deductions, and optimizing overall tax efficiency.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on various tax-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, international tax planning, and other complex tax issues.
* Stay abreast of the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis to interpret tax laws and assess their impact on client engagements.
* Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
* Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor junior tax professionals.
Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance their tax knowledge and expertise.
* Conduct internal reviews and quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of tax filings and documentation.
* Identify opportunities to optimize tax processes, enhance efficiency, and maintain compliance with industry best practices.
* Assist in special projects, including client-specific assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Bilingual Japanese and English language skills (reading, writing and speaking). * CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation, actively working toward passing the CPA Exam, or relevant certification for respective discipline as soon as possible, if certification is not already attained.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a CPA firm, with a strong focus on corporate tax services.
* Demonstrated expertise in corporate tax compliance, planning, and advisory services.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
* Proven ability to lead and supervise teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
* Dedication to delivering exceptional client service and building long-term client relationships.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, adapting to changing tax laws and client needs.
