Are you looking for a more defined role? Wanting to find something within the CNA world that is more involved and rewarding at the same time? Well look no further, we are looking for a CNA like you.

We currently looking for a Restorative Nursing Aide to join our compassionate care-giving team! The Restorative Nursing Aide will be responsible for providing restorative and rehabilitative assistance and care to residents/patients to maintain/regain physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The Restorative Aide will work with other departments to coordinate and provide restorative nursing care for all patients in the facility individually.

Restorative Nursing Aide Duties/Responsibilities

Participate in restorative programs initiated for individual patients.

Communicate to the appropriate staff the status of all patients with regard to rehab/restorative needs.

Observe and report changes in condition.

Attend rehab rounds and maintain restorative nursing progress/documentation records on all patients participating in any restorative program.

Assist in communicating with patients/families concerning patient's progress and in care planning conferences.

Visit with patients daily and/or as needed to assure that the program is appropriate and productive.

Along with the Rehabilitation Nurse - set goals and approaches to individual patient's needs.

Puts patient care first and ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service

Other duties as assigned.

Restorative Nursing Help Qualifications/Requirements

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the State of Illinois.

Experience in a skilled/long-term healthcare setting is preferred.

Must be familiar and proficient with using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, lifts, scales and other equipment used in the restorative programs.

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday (reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions).

Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of this position.

Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile patients within the facility.

Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
