Position Summary: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions and play a key role in the month-end close process, posting many critical month-end journal entries and performing vital account reconciliations.

Essential Responsibilities * Reconcile and record monthly bank activity * Upload checks to the bank via the banking platform * Prepare various journal entries for monthly close * Prepare and upload the monthly premium and loss activity * Assist with other month-end closing duties as assigned * Intercompany allocations, reconciliations and settlements * Prepare state income tax and various other accruals * Maintain supporting schedules for various accounts * Assist with special projects or reports, as needed Education/Experience * Bachelor's degree, major in accounting or finance * No accounting experience required, this is an entry-level position Skills * Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (including: pivot tables and vlookup). * Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.

* QuickBooks and Tableau familiarity ideal, but not required.
