Maintenance Trades Helper

NIKA is hiring for a Maintenance Trades Helper for a base operations support services contract at the US Coast Guard Base in Kodiak, AK!

Job Duties and Responsibilities * Performs a variety of trades and laboring duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities and equipment.

Duties require trade practices associated with painting, carpentry and laboring work.

* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing appliances and fixtures.

* Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and address them proactively.

* Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

* Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks.

Required Skills * High School Diploma or GED required.

* Experience in performing duties as described and the ability to follow oral and written instructions involving those duties.

* Be skilled in use and operation of common hand and power tools and measuring devised of the painting/carpentry trades.

* Must have ability to learn new techniques and procedures associated with the preceding.

* Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
