MUST BE WILLING TO PHYSICALLY WORK NEAR SUNRISE, FLORIDA, 33323 The Community Care Plan 2024 Summer Internship program will run for 8 to 10 weeks.

There will be two start dates May 13th or June 3rd.

Position Summary: Community Care Plan (CCP) is proud to offer an internship program that will prepare students for the workforce.

This is a great internship opportunity to get professional hands-on experience in working with the Compliance team.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, striving for excellence and looking for real world experiences.

This position is 20-25 hours per week for a six-week period, potential to extend.

The first two (2) days of the internship involve on-site training in organizational principles, human resources, compliance, departmental functions, computer systems & business processes.

This internship is designed to be both educational and practical.

In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills they may have acquired in school related to their areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting.

They will gain a better understanding of the role that compliance, privacy and investigations can play in a corporate setting and be better prepared to work in the arena of compliance within the healthcare sector.

The candidate will also have opportunities to network with administration, operations, finance, and IT staff.

The intern will work with confidential and proprietary information that requires a signed Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Support the Compliance, Privacy and Fraud, Waste & Abuse Programs.

* Assist the Special Investigations Unit with desktop analysis and investigation.

* Assist with documenting investigations in fraud, waste & abuse case management software and documenting audit results in excel.

* Review medical records upon receipt for accuracy and completeness (no experience reading medical records necessary). * Assist with special projects and clerical support.

* Send outgoing mail, faxes, and interoffice correspondence for department as needed.

* Responsible for writing normal business communications including e-mail, memos, letters, and process workflows.

Work Schedule: As a continued effort to provide a safe and productive work environment, Community Care Plan is currently following a hybrid work schedule.

Staff are able to work from home 3 days a week and will report to the office 2 days a week.
