Specialty areas include environmental due diligence, site characterization, engineering and remediation services, stormwater management, and mediation and litigation support.

The firm is headquartered in Issaquah, Washington, with offices in Seattle and Bellingham, Washington; Portland and Baker City, Oregon; and Oakland, and Irvine, California.

What we are looking for Farallon is currently seeking a Principal Compliance Specialist who will work collaboratively with Principal, Associate, and Project Compliance Specialists in Oregon and other regions.

This is a full-time leadership role within Farallon that will focus on building the service line and providing white-glove service to new and existing clients with regulatory compliance needs for wastewater, stormwater, solid or hazardous waste, emergency planning, and air.

Marketing and business development for compliance services and continuing to grow compliance services in Oregon will be a core responsibility of this position.

We are seeking candidates with specific knowledge of regulatory requirements, anticipated changes, and industry perspectives.

Your job will require regular interaction with clients and potential future clients to discuss compliance needs and strategies for implementation.

Experience with applicable regulations and developing compliance management programs is essential as is understanding how to build solutions for industrial and manufacturing operations, develop and implement management programs for clients and direct the completion of permit-required agency reports or documents.

What you will be doing at Farallon * Preparing proposals, scopes of work, and final deliverables such as compliance gap analyses, discharge monitoring reports, annual compliance summaries, and other documents to meet each client's unique needs.

* Managing project budgets and resources, complete budget tracking, invoicing, and amendments as required.

* Directly managing projects involving compliance support, monitoring, reporting, and engineering solutions.

* Coordinating and overseeing staff, outside contractors, and vendors for assigned projects.

* Traveling to client sites as needed.

What you will need to succeed * Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

* At least 15 years of experience in environmental compliance.

* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

* Strong knowledge of both Federal and State environmental regulations.

Experience with air, industrial wastewater, solid waste, hazardous waste, stormwater, and hazardous materials storage are desirable.

* Strong organizational and time management skills and understanding of consulting business practices.

* Strong written, communication, and software skills.

* Previous or current experience in environmental consulting strongly preferred.

* Previous or current personnel supervisory experience strongly preferred.

* CHMM, CPSWQ certifications or a PE license are strongly preferred, but not required as a Senior or Principal Compliance Specialist.

Ideally, you'll also have * 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120). * Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.

Salary Range Our best estimate of the base salary range for this position, located in the Portland Metro Area is $110,000 - $175,000.

Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity.

Farallon reviews and updates salary ranges annually, and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance.

The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Farallon's total compensation package for our employee-owners.
