Senior Distributed Systems Engineer (Security)/Tech Lead

We are actively hiring talented distributed systems developers from Europe and around the world for our European Engineering Center. Our office is located at Kasprzaka 4, in Warsaw. It is conveniently accessible by train, subway, bus, or bicycle – with a large number of restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team of experienced engineers, forming the new team to work on Employee Production Access in Warsaw. The focus of this team will be on building infrastructure components to solve complex problems involving distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and more. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact.

AS A SENIOR ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

Design, develop and scale security solutions that enable Snowflake employees achieve their business goals while protecting sensitive customer data

Partner with security, engineering and product teams to define and set the strategy for security practices and processes.

Lead and manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

8+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, with recent experience in building large scale cloud services.

Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.

Strong development skills in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, C, C++, Go.

Experience working with infrastructure from major cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)

BS in Computer Science; Masters or Ph.D. preferred.

Fluency in English.
