Technician -electronic Field Service

Position Summary: Electrically inclined individual who can perform VFD repairs, installations, and diagnostics, assist with industrial equipment repairs, testing, rigging various electrical mechanical rotating equipment based on the candidate's skillset and aptitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Understand and follow all Safety processes and procedures including the use of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). * Read and understand job work orders to determine job status, work authorization/limitations, estimate, description of problems and/or work scope.

* Complete required documentation for each job accurately and on a timely basis.

* Have the capability to work alone, as crew member, or as crew leader; Ability to work well with others in a team effort.

* Ability to test and repair variable frequency drives, soft starts, controls, generators, AC and DC motors.

* Ability to assist with repairs of gear reducers, gear boxes, pumps, and numerous types of industrial equipment.

* Ability to measure for and document proper installation of parts and assemblies.

* Ability to replace and/or repair electromechanical components and associated assemblies such as brushes, bearings, leads, clutches, fans, seals, etc.

* Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics.

* Assist with rigging of AC and DC motors, generators, gear reducers, gear boxes, pumps, and numerous types of industrial equipment of various weights and sizes.

* Maintain assigned truck and service equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

* Perform special projects, including large and/or special shop jobs * Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training and operational and safety procedures.

* Ensure customer expectations are met and questions addressed.

* Ability to travel and stay overnight on assignments.

* Perform all other duties or functions as assigned by the department manager.

Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED required.

* Minimum of one (1) year experience as an Electronics Technician via Trade school, military, or on-the-job technician training and/or certifications are preferred.

* Electro-Mechanical machinery and Controls testing, and diagnostics ability required.
