PURPOSE: We are seeking a driven and high-energy Accounts Payable Manager with extensive experience leading and assisting in the processing of a high volume of invoices.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing our payable process and mentoring the A/P team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Manage the Accounts Payable department- you will be coordinating efforts relating to payables and supervising department employees.
* Manage the invoice input and payment process for all vendors/suppliers.
* Release vendor invoices for payment * Implement process improvements and maintain procedures.
* Develop and prepare metric reporting to monitor department efficiency.
* Ensure that vendors are paid accurately and in a timely manner and handle issues or concerns with vendors pertaining to payment disbursement * Communicate with field locations with excellent customer service while enforcing procedures, and providing training when necessary * Other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * Associates or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred * Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred * Experience with Spectrum Accounting Software is a big plus * 5-6 years' experience working in accounts payable * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills * Well-organized; detail-oriented SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: * Ability to stay focused and work without close supervision.

* Ability to interpret and disseminate complex information appropriate and effectively.
* Ability to sit for prolonged periods and efficiently operate computer, calculator, copier, fax and other business office equipment.
* Comply with accounting and all other company policies, procedures, as well as all relevant federal, state and local reporting requirements.
