Maintenance General Technician Reports To: Director, Maintenance & Operations Job Status: Non-exempt Position Summary: The Maintenance General Technician is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the University.
The Technician performs duties relative to preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance.
Job Responsibilities: * Perform general maintenance to enhance the operation of building systems.
* Perform duties such as general light electrical, AC, and appliance repair.
* Perform general pool/spa and lock/key maintenance.
* Provide servicing of plumbing maintenance, installation, and repair work.
* Assist other maintenance staff as needed.
* Adhere to university and industry safety standards.
* Must be on call for maintenance emergencies.
* Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications: * Two years of facilities related experience.
* Advanced knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
* Customer service oriented, prompt, efficient, and committed to quality.
* Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks.
* Ability to safely drive a golf cart or similar vehicle.
* Ability to work on call when needed.
Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
