Warehouse Manager

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for warehouse manager at a small distribution warehouse in New Milford CT. The warehouse manager is a hands-on position that works independently and handles all aspects of the operation. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

The schedule is 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $60,000-$65,000 a year, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Communicate with factory to plan inventory needs

Prepare and coordinate import documentation

Interface with import broker and logistics providers

Receive shipments, unload with forklift, and organize stock in the warehouse

Provide customer service and accept purchase orders

Prepare shipments for both truck and UPS

Coordinate trucking documentation, pickups and load

Make bank deposits

Supervise bookkeeper to ensure proper order entry, cash flow needs, vendor payments, online banking, customer communication, etc.

Maintain clean work environment

Other duties as needed

Job Requirements:

Experience with international logistics and production planning

Warehouse management experience

Financial management experience

Excellent computer skills; experience with shipping software

Experience communicating with customers

Material handling experience, including using forklifts

Able to work independently and often alone

Able to work Saturdays if needed

High school diploma or equivalent
