duration : Description We are looking for a Project Manager who will
report to the Director of Engineering, and who'll be tasked with
leading a cross-functional New Product Development team through the
design, development, and launch of boats and propulsion systems. You
will be responsible for delivering on quality and cost targets, and
launching the project on time. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Plan and
coordinate activities to execute project milestones in a gated NPD
process including: concept creation, drawing release, prototype builds,
tooling release, design validation, production validation, and
production launch. Provide leadership and guidance to engineers,
designers and technicians. Facilitate Design to Cost & Quality
activities with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, supplier
quality, suppliers, and external consultants. Coordinate with the
Purchasing Project Leader to develop timelines for all components using
a PLM driven progress report. Identify supplier capital requirements.
Coordinate with the Production Project Leader to ensure
production-tooled prototype build readiness in the factory. Track
critical project metrics including: drawing release status, direct cost,
and weight. Identify quality, cost, and schedule risks. Develop and
implement mitigation plans. Prepare and present project status at weekly
and monthly management reviews. YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE
THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Required: B.S. in
Mechanical Engineering required. 5 years experience in engineering or
related field with minimum 3 years of product development experience
utilizing a stage-gate process Proven experience leading teams through
influence Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects on time.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to
blend technical skills (engineering analysis, problem solving, design
validation) and business acumen (business case development, financial
literacy) to overcome development challenges. Willingness to solve
problems by getting into the details (e.g. cost, BOM, weight, quality,
etc). Willingness to travel up to 10%. Preferred: Strong interest /
