Administrator, Project JobID: 90234 Position Type: Administrative, District Based Date Posted: 5/15/2024 Location: OPERATIONS Closing Date: 06/03/2024 Administrator, Project Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer or his/her designee, the Project Administrator is responsible for implementing the design and construction contract policies, processes, and procedures as outlined by district policy and the Operations Division.

Duties: * Assists in providing oversight in the planning, design, development, and construction of district projects.

* Is familiar with federal, state, and local codes and regulations governing the planning, design, and construction of public educational facilities.

* Possesses intermediate knowledge of basic construction law and contract interpretation, including the monitoring of project budgets to ensure that project costs remain within budget.

* Oversees design and construction project schedules and regularly monitors schedule performance to ensure projects are on schedule and conclude on time.

Participates in the timely resolution of construction issues.

* Participates in the timely closeout and post-occupancy evaluations and requirements of all assigned Operations Division construction projects.

* Is knowledgeable of current computer technologies and software applications appropriate for this position, including those in accounting and others elements of the design and construction field * Provides initial review of pay requests, applications for payment, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Provides recommendation for approval of such invoices.

* Provides input and confirms the accurate reporting and accounting of school construction statistics including all FISH (Florida Inventory of School House) requirements by district staff members.

* Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Education: A bachelor's degree is required.

Degree or formal training in construction management, building construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in construction project administration, with two (2) years of related management or supervisory experience is required.

Public sector construction experience is preferred.
