Shared Services: Compliance- (Full-Time, Day Shift) - Job Summary: The Compliance Program Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements within respective area.

Maintains and updates the compliance plan; develops and maintains ongoing compliance training; develops audit plans and timely completion of audits and dissemination of audit findings; ensurs consistency and uniformity in the application of the compliance program policies and procedures; develops and maintains effective tools and methodologies to appropriately monitor compliance.

Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required.

Minimum three years of experience implementing and overseeing healthcare regulatory requirements at manager level required.

Minimum one year of experience working with external regulatory entities required.

Minimum one year of experience in academic medical environment preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Understands operational impact and application of healthcare laws and regulations to the organization and internal departments, and how to take appropriate action to mitigate risk posed by these regulations.

Communicate with diplomacy and objectivity and relates to people of diverse demographic backgrounds.

Committed to continuous quality improvement in systems, processes and performance; consistently exercising a learning attitude and approach to all duties.

Able to keyboard 30 wpm.

Read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Able to trend, analyze and interpret data and judge and act on analysis of data.

Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction.

Think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision; manage deadlines and interruptions; presentations; flexibility in project management.

Extensive knowledge of hospital billing and coding requirements, specifically Medicare and/or Medi-Cal requirements required.

Prefer knowledge of Stark, Anti-Kickback statute, Federal False Claims Act and other hospital related state and federal regulatory requirements.

Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to read and understand a policy and/or regulation, formulate educational materials, disseminate the education and follow-up/audit to ensure adherence to the education provided.

Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Licensures and Certifications: Certified in Healthcare Privacy (CHP), Certified in Healthcare Security (CHS), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Security (CHPS) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Project Management certification required within one year of hire.
