Duties:

To maintain a good attendance record and appearance; to be reliable.

Daily preparation of exam room, testing room equipment, and supplies.

Obtaining concise, complete medical history, to record this history accurately, legibly, and in an easy-to-interpret format.

Accurately measure and record refractive power and corrective lenses.

To understand and recognize normal findings to appreciate abnormal findings.

To record findings accurately and proceed appropriately with the preliminary workup.

To safely and accurately measure and record the IOP of each eye, to recognize abnormal findings, and to proceed appropriately with the exam.

To perform special tests as required and directed by the doctor. To understand the purpose and procedure for the test ordered. To explain the test to the patients and record results accurately.

To understand our ehr system.

To assist in other departments the need arises and as directed by the clinic manager.

To continually strive to expand and update the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality patient care.
