Atrium Health Center for Digestive Health is actively seeking a full-time academic Gastroenterologist to join an established practice in the Charlotte, NC area.

The Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Atrium Health Wake Forest University School of Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center seeks a full-time GI clinician-educator at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank.

Highlights:

Rotate on inpatient GI consultation teaching and inpatient endoscopy services at Carolinas Medical Center monthly

Participate in outpatient GI consultation and endoscopy services delivered at Carolinas Medical Center, affiliated ambulatory surgery centers, and the GI Fellows Clinic

Opportunities for teaching Gastroenterology Fellows

Candidate Profile:

MD or DO and board certification in Gastroenterology required.

Prior clinical educator experience at an academic medical center required, 3+ years preferred.

Prior or active involvement in research and scholarship preferred.

Demonstrate a passion for and commitment to teaching medical students, residents, and GI fellows, as well as teaching fellows endoscopy.
