GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION Under the general supervision of a Project Manager, the Junior IT Business Analyst role assists with analysis of designs, implementation of SiloSmashers Business Intelligence solutions and facilitates delivery of data analysis, reporting and support to end users of client's data and systems to fulfill business objectives.

Specific tasks include process analysis, requirements gathering, system design and testing, and documentation.

This individual will use proven analytic, communication, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs.

Develop trusted relationships with internal customers and key stakeholders.

Maintaining, testing, and improving business and systems operations.

Writing policy and/or Standard Operating procedures.

Development and interpretation of organization structures and processes.

Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents.

Test business processes and recommend improvements.

Identify automation opportunities.

Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance.

Analyze process issues and bottlenecks and provides recommendations on new or enhanced systems, upgrades, and modifications.

Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.

Facilitating working groups, scheduling, agenda creation, meeting minutes.

Participates on projects using standard and agile project management methodologies.

Maintains accurate documentation of applications, written instructions, training guides, manuals, materials, and user trainings for application users.

Identifying innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction.

Participates in User Trainings and provides technical guidance to application users.

Supports project quality assurance processes.

Confers with application development staff to clarify program specifications.

Carries out other duties as may be assigned or requested as appropriate for the role.

Performs all functions of the job in a safe and conscientious manner.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, interpret highly technical documents, draw valid conclusions.

Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with all levels of government staff.

Understanding of SDLC Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments.

Demonstrated experience in business administration, systems and/or data analysis.

Familiarity with standard business processes and reporting (report design, charts, graphs). Demonstrated ability to extract and refine requirements from clients.

Demonstrated ability to provide basic assistance to customers to resolve simple issues/requests.

Ability to present information and respond effectively to sensitive issues.

Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative team environment.

Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload and maintain schedules and deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Demonstrated ability to perform business rule and process analyses and apply critical thinking skills to reach sound, logical conclusions regarding user client needs and business requirements.

Maintain accurate documentation of applications, user guides and user trainings.

Carries out other duties as may be assigned or requested as appropriate for the role.

MUST BE US CITIZEN NICE TO HAVE: Experience with Atlassian JIRA/Confluence suite of tools.

Experience with SDLC of Oracle Apex Application Development EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year of experience of quantitative fact-based analysis, issue-based problem solving or software development requirements gathering.

Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance, or information technology related field
