Manual Test Engineer

Candidates with 2-5 years of experience in software testing-manual with strong ability to

• Interact with test manager and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives

• Grasp the requirements quickly based on business requirements -

• Identify the gaps in requirements if the requirement is not clear/ambiguous and raise queries/clarifications to client/development team

• Design and create test conditions and scripts to effectively test business requirements

• Arrive at the traceability matrix between requirements and test cases

• Execute test cases and analyse test results independently

• Report defects with at most clarity and track until closure/logical closure

• Database knowledge, mainly in Oracle/SQL Server - Should have strong working knowledge on SQL to perform back-end validations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Self initiative and commitment to accomplish assigned tasks

• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

• Track and provide appropriate status updates & risk escalations on Test progress to Test Manager

• Highly assertive, very clear and focused communication

• Should be a good team player and be willing to take additional responsibilities on need basis

• Ability to Implement the given assignments independently with more self initiative & with minimal/no follow up from lead.

• Ability to accept and adapt to changing priority of tasks

• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

• Flexibility in the working hours depending on project schedules/priorities

• Having a software certification/knowledge on Selenium automation will be an added advantage
